Lady Wildcats, Falcons capture league titles

1A 

The La Center girls basketball team finished 10-0 in league play, 19-1 overall, to capture the Trico A1 league title. As a first seed in the district tournament, the Wildcats get a bye in the first round. They will play the winner of Montesano and Stevenson at King’s Way Christian on Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.  

 

2A

Depending on how things shake out this week, the Hockinson girls basketball team (8-3 in league, 12-6 overall) will either be a two or three seed in the 2A district playoffs and will either play at home against Centralia (if they finish second) or at Black Hills High School, against Black Hills. Both options would be at 7 p.m., Feb. 9. 



Joining the lady Hawks in the 2A playoffs is Woodland (6-5 in league, 12-7 overall). As a four seed, they will play at W.F. West High School, against W.F. West, on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. 

 

3A 

Prairie captured the 3A Greater St. Helens league title, finishing 10-0 in league, 18-2 overall. This is the Falcon’s 21st league title in a row. They play Bonney Lake at 6 p.m., Feb. 7, on their home floor in the first round of the district tournament.
