WSU-Vancouver hosting presidential primary event

WSU-Vancouver is offering a panel discussion on the presidential primary process from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, in the main room of the Firstenburg Student Commons, 14204 NE Salmon Creek Ave., Vancouver.

“Donut Miss the Presidential Primary in March: How Is It Different from Other Elections?” is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Clark County and the Associated Students Washington State University-Vancouver (WSUV) and will include donuts. Speakers will include Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey, WSUV public affairs professor Carolyn Long and representatives of the county Democratic and Republican parties.

Kimsey will describe the presidential primary election process and the importance of voting.



Long will discuss various aspects of the primary system. Each party representative will talk about how the primary results are used to allocate Washington delegates to their respective national conventions.

Students from WSUV and Clark College, as well as the general public, are welcome to attend. Parking is available in WSUV Lot B for $5. The event also will be live-streamed at kougradio.org.
