Kelso police are looking for a suspect who is believed to have shot and killed a convenience store worker during a robbery early this morning.
According to police, the robbery and homicide happened shortly after 4 a.m. at Holt’s Quik Chek, located at 400 N Pacific Ave.
Police said the suspect “is believed to be a black, or dark skinned, male” though he used a hat and bandana to cover his face.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer white four-door sedan; police believe other individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the robbery.
Police have not released the name of the victim, the lone worker at the convenience store during the robbery, pending notification of the family. The incident is still under investigation and law enforcement is asking for help from the public in identifying the vehicle and suspect.
