Battle Ground Village Outdoor Market to hold Wild West Shindig on Saturday, July 20

The Battle Ground Village Outdoor Market will be the site of more Battle Ground Harvest Days fun with a Wild West Day on Sat., July 20, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the market in Battle Ground Village.

Children can come to the information booth and pick up their free cowboy hat, then head over to the Rainbow Pony Rides. Contra in the Couve will have a performance and lessons starting at noon. There will be a Pie Eating Contest, with cash prizes of $50, $25 and $10, at 1 p.m., for ages 10 and older. Registration for the Pie Eating Contest begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Pie Eating Table, located in the Central Park of Battle Ground Village.

Sea Mar WIC will be at the market distributing Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program vouchers in the morning and Battle Ground Adventist Community Services will be accepting school supply donations. Also, Columbia Kid’s Preschool and Sprouting Seeds School will organize a children’s craft booth as a fundraiser.



“Harvest Days and the market’s Wild West Shindig is a great time to celebrate and enjoy everything Battle Ground has to offer,” said Jennifer Riddle, market manager.
