WSU Extension Cowlitz County Master Gardeners to host master gardener training classes

Washington State University Extension Cowlitz County Master Gardeners will host master gardener training classes starting in January.

“This is a great opportunity to learn more about plants, meet great people, serve your community, but most of all, have a lot of fun,” WSU Master Gardener Gary Fredricks stated in a press release. 



Class attendees will receive over 90 hours of training on all aspects of gardening throughout the once-weekly courses. WSU Master Gardener training classes will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. late January until early June in Longview. Prior to the training classes, people can attend one orientation session to find out more about the expectations and opportunities of the WSU Master Gardener program in Cowlitz County. Free orientation sessions discussing classes offered, volunteer activities, training schedule and costs, will be offered from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, Thursday, Nov. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 5 and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 12.
