Donald, age 89, passed into heaven on July 9 in Vancouver. He was born in Kelso into a large family. He married Patsy, and together they created a beautiful life. Don worked hard to provide for his family. He loved his family fiercely and always wanted the best for them.
His last job was working for UPS and retiring as a Teamster.
He loved fishing and was known for the best smoked salmon.
He was meticulous about his yard. He enjoyed snowbirding to Arizona and gambling. He was passionate about the Mariners.
Don is survived by his son, Toby/Kathy; many siblings; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank Emily and Chris of Brookhaven Adult Family Home for taking excellent care of our dad.
A celebration of life will be July 20 at Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene at 11 a.m. with a potluck to follow.
