Ridgefield Lions win “Community Champions” award

The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce presented the Ridgefield Lions with the second annual Community Champions Award at the Lions’ monthly meeting on Feb. 28.

Chamber President Dawn Bell gave the award to Ridgefield Lions President Josh Olson.

“The award was given to the Lions because of all of the activities and giving back to the community that the organization does,” Bell  said in a press release. “The Chamber wanted to recognize and honor that we are proud to be in this community together with the Lions.”

The award was voted on by the Chamber board.

“We’re so pleased that the Chamber has honored us this way,” Olson said. “We work day to day to improve our community, and to be able to take a moment to be recognized by a group such as the Chamber is wonderful.”
