Medical examiner releases names in Amboy murder-suicide

The names of the two men dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Amboy discovered June 22 have been released by the Clark County Medical Examiner.

The department listed Vernon Snider, 84, of Amboy, as dead via multiple gunshots to the head. Robert Rowland, 56, also of Amboy, was described as dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office initially reported the investigation into the possible murder-suicide Sunday. 



A release from the sheriff’s office stated that deputies responded to the 24700 block of Northeast 419th Street, Amboy at about 7 p.m. June 22 on a report of a possible homicide. Upon arrival, the deputies found the bodies of two deceased males, both of whom appeared to have been shot.

One of the victims appeared to have died by a self-inflicted injury, the sheriff’s office noted.
