Looking for something to keep you motivated this fall and winter as the rain and cold rolls around? Battle Ground resident Elaine Nibley probably has a group for you.

Nibley is the founder of several different groups that meet around the North Clark County area that promote exercise, health and friendship. For anyone wishing to check out one or more of these groups, here is the information on each:

Healthy Lifestyle Group

The Healthy Lifestyle Group meets every Friday, 10-11 a.m., at Silver Dragon Restaurant, 403 W. Main St., Battle Ground. There is no cost to attend. Gather with this lively group to sip a cup of tea and chat about the latest in health and fun activities to stay fit.

Toy Dog Play Group

The Toy Dog Play Group meets every Saturday, 10-11 a.m., at Maple Grove K-8 School, 610 SW Eaton Blvd., Battle Ground. There is no cost to attend. This group is for friendly toy dogs of 20 pounds or less and their pet parents. Join the “pack” and bring a leash and water. This is a fun hour to socialize and exercise those furry friends.

KP Walkers

The KP Walkers meet every Tuesday and Thursday, 10-11 a.m., at Kiwanis Park, 422 SW 2nd Ave., Battle Ground. There is no cost to attend. Walk your way into fitness and fun with this friendly group of Battle Ground walkers. Kiwanis Park has a one-fourth mile paved path that circles the center field. Walkers of all speeds and abilities are welcome. This group meets rain or shine.
