The Board of County Commissioners is calling for applications, nominations and recommendations for volunteers to serve on the county’s Clean Water Commission.

Three positions are available, with terms running March 2015 through February 2018.

The clean water advisory group makes recommendations to the board about services, policies and financing to meet federal and state requirements for water quality, including stormwater management.

Residents of the county’s unincorporated area are encouraged to apply. Analytical skills are desirable, along with experience and interest in environmental issues.

The group holds six meetings annually in the sixth-floor training room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Anyone interested in serving should submit a letter and resume to Jennifer Clark, Commissioners Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, 98666-5000. Applications can be faxed to (360) 397-6058 or sent by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.

Application deadline is 5 p.m., Wed., Jan. 7, 2015.
