Life Care Centers of America recently announced that Cascade Park Care Center in Vancouver has been awarded a deficiency-free state survey for 2014 by Washington State’s Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Washington State’s Department of Health and Human Services Centers makes unannounced annual visits to healthcare facilities to evaluate the facility’s compliance with state and federal regulations.

The rigid survey examines an abundance of quality, safety, and performance issues within the facility. Some of the performance issues include medication management, proper skin care, food service, environmental safety, and respect for patients’ rights and dignity.

Cascade Park Care Center is a five star facility by Medicare and Medicaid guidelines located at 801 Southeast Park Crest Avenue; it is an 88-bed, skilled nursing facility providing short-term nursing and rehabilitation services. Cascade Park Care Center provides occupational, physical, and speech therapies for individuals who would benefit from these therapies.

Cascade Park Care Center has also been recognized by the National Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative for being in the top 10 percent of nursing homes that achieve a high quality measure score.

With theses achievements Life Care Centers of America credits the staff for the exemplary service, attention to detail, and dedication to residents that illustrate Life Care’s mission.
