The Board of Clark County Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill an unexpired term on the volunteer Cemetery District 5 Board of Commissioners.
The cemetery district is bounded by the Lewis River on the west and north and the equivalent of 399th Street on the south. On the east, the boundary is Northeast 31st Avenue up to 420th Street, where it jogs east to 114th Avenue.
The unexpired term concludes Dec. 31, 2015.
Cemetery district commissioners have authority to conduct business as needed to maintain and operate cemeteries, purchase property, enter into contracts, and exercise the powers set forth in RCW title 68. They are elected for staggered terms of six years.
