Melody A. Baker graduated from Colorado Technical University May 15, 2012, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Human Resource Management. Baker is a member of the International Honor Society Sigma Beta Delta with a 4.0 grade point average.

Several area students graduated from the University of Washington this June. Eric Oblander of Battle Ground earned a bachelor’s degree May 27 from the University of San Diego in communication studies.

Troy A. McLenithan of La Center and Sara Schneider of Ridgefield both recently graduated with bachelor’s degrees from George Fox University. McLenithan received a degree in Management and Organizational Leadership and Schneider received a degree in Elementary Education.

Jaclyn Wiebold of Battle Ground was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2012 semester at Concordia University, St. Paul. She is a senior majoring in Christian Ministry.

Several North Clark County students were named to the Washington State University Pullman President’s Honor Roll for the 2012 spring semester. To be eligible for this honor roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of nine graded hours in a single term at WSU and earn a grade point average of 3.75 or earn a 3.5 cumulative GPA based on 15 cumulative hours of graded work. Chris Easter from Brush Prairie received a bachelor’s degree June 9 from North Central College in Naperville, IL. On June 9, 581 students earned bachelor’s degrees and 111 earned master’s degrees.

Eric Schalla of Santa Barbara, CA, earned his Master of Business Administration from Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle June 10. Schalla is a 2000 graduate of Battle Ground High School who entered the U.S. Marine Corps after graduation, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He now manages his family’s printing business in Santa Barbara, finding ways to increase sales, decrease environmental impact and become more involved in the community. He was the 500th graduate from Bainbridge Graduate Institute.
