Second ‘In God We Trust’ meeting a success

Posted

The second meeting went far better than the first because Clark County citizens showed up early in force to speak in support of America's national motto "In-God-We-Trust."

One person made "In-God-We-Trust" signs for all to wave, and another led people waving signs singing the National Anthem, before the meeting started.  Special interest outsiders were still there spewing contempt but they were no longer the dominant voice.

The voice of reason, true history, and freedom rang louder.

One lady, too afraid to speak at the first meeting, spoke with passion at the second meeting. There are groups that only exist to bring legal action against America's heritage but as one pastor aptly pointed out, no matter how hard they try they cannot erase history.

Others testified that just a few years ago the House of Representatives overwhelmingly reaffirmed "In-God-We-Trust" as America's national motto by a 396 to 9 vote; so the House recommended all government buildings prominently display the motto. The mob was baseless.

The councilors passed the resolution.  "In-God-We-Trust" will now be prominently displayed in the hearing room of the Board of County Councilors.  I thank the councilors for sincerity and courage bringing this issue forward and doing the right thing supporting the national motto because it expresses American History and values our Founders wanted us to never forget. The councilors should not need to ask when they simply want to decorate public meeting space with mementoes of American History.  It's our motto, deal with it.

Make no mistake, a mob of minority special interests is always looking for opportune times to dominate when we are sleeping or at work, but Clark County must never let outsiders rule.

"In-God-We-Trust" is a powerful reminder of American values to all generations and a reminder for our leaders to make righteous (not corrupt) decisions when doing the people's business.  In the early years of America the Liberty Bell rang to summon legislators to work and remind them they were there to serve free people.  It needs to ring again.
