We need no Con Con

Jordan Sillars, communications director for the proposed  “Convention of States” (a Constitutional Convention) revealed the real intent of this “Con-Con” plot – “ … (people) could be found who are morally and intellectually capable of re-writing the Constitution.”

“... re-writing our  Constitution?”

Our Constitution’s authors were moral and intellectual giants who wrote it as a barrier  against tyranny.  Such statesmen are rare today and those misguided nerds who Jordan Sillars would select would be dangerous moral and intellectual pygmies tampering with the best document ever written by the hand of man.

A “Con-Con” would have the dangerous authority to delete, or change Amendments defending our  freedom of religion, freedom of speech and the press, our vital right to keep and bear arms, protection against illegal searches and seizures, and could remove all limitations on the powers a totalitarian government could wield over us.

We need no Con Con.
