Transgendered men should not be allowed in women’s restrooms

There are just six weeks left to overturn a painful decision made by five unelected members of Washington state’s Human Rights Commission — a decision that allows men who say they feel like a woman to use the women’s restroom.

The irony regarding this entity’s decision is that it denies the rights/protections of women and unsuspecting girls. Sadly, common sense and biological facts no longer matter to government, only feelings.

The new right allows for further complications: Men allowed to shower in female locker rooms, spas, gyms, swimming pools, schools, etc. It protects what is formerly known as “indecent exposure.” Sadly, this gives a convenient excuse for sexual predators. Feeling empathy for transgender struggles shouldn’t keep us from being concerned for the safety issues of the rest of the population. We are not bigots or haters.

For those who care to overturn this decision, please contact justwantprivacy.org. We have until July 7 to gather 330,000 signatures to get this initiative on the November ballot. This way, the citizens of Washington state can make their own decision.
