Disappointed with Herrera Beutler

While I agree with Jaime Herrera Beutler in most matters, sometimes she seriously disappoints. She recently gave this quote to the New York Times:

“To truly represent the American people, Congress needs more women and moms. I’m expecting my third baby since I was elected to serve, and it is a privilege to offer my unique perspective as we shape policy for all American families.”

Every single person has a unique perspective. I don’t care whether you have two X chromosomes or not; I don’t care what your skin color is or whether you’re deaf or blind. What matters is your position on a wide range of issues, the most important of which are acknowledging the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death, following the U.S. Constitution, upholding all the constitutional rights of citizens, and national security. I vote for the person who holds the positions with which I agree.
