The Board of County Councilors is seeking applicants for the Clark County position on the Columbia River Gorge Commission.
Applicants must live in Clark County. The term will begin July 1, 2015 and end June 30, 2019.
Columbia River Gorge Commission members make decisions on land use applications, hear appeals of county land use decisions, and review and modify the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Management Plan.
The commission holds regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at various locations throughout the gorge. It also schedules special meetings as needed and has committees that meet several times a year.
Some familiarity with the gorge management plan and/or land use planning is desirable.
