Battle Ground Police were dispatched to the 100 block of NE 1st Ave at approximately 12:30 p.m. today on a report of an assault with a knife.
Officers responded and spoke with witnesses who said the suspect had fled on foot and that the victim, a 15-year-old male, had been taken by private car to the hospital. Police have since learned that the victim's injuries do not appear to be serious.
Officers immediately conducted a search but have not yet located the suspect, identified as 20-year-old James A. Loudermilk of Battle Ground.
