Ridgefield started its 4th of July celebration with a parade, lining the streets with thousands of residents and out-of-towners.

When attendees weren’t busy enjoying their snow cones, they could take a walk on the wild side with the help of Shrink Ray Farms. Shrink Ray Farms specializes in rehabilitating reptiles, and they had a booth to teach the public about the wonders of turtles and lizards. Children could also enjoy bouncy castles and slides and face paintings.

While there wasn’t a firework display in Downtown Ridgefield this year, locals headed up to the Clark County Event Center to enjoy fireworks there.

Meanwhile, Yacolt celebrated the 4th with a parade full of classic cars, animals, decorated floats and more. Children raced to the streets with plastic bags firmly grasped in their hands and smiles across their faces to gather the candy thrown out by passing floats.
