WSU Vancouver workshops offer information about paying for college

Washington State University Vancouver will host a series of A-Z of Financial Aid and Scholarships workshops this fall for prospective college students, no matter the college they choose. These workshops are free and open to the public.

 

Prospective students and parents will learn from financial aid experts the many ways to make a college education attainable. Presenters will answer commonly asked questions about financial aid and scholarships, including what scholarships are available, how to apply for financial aid, and when and how to receive awarded funds.

 

Workshops will be held in the Student Services Center, Room 101, unless otherwise specified:

 

• 6 p.m., Wed., Sept. 30

• 2:30 p.m., Sat., Oct. 10, Dengerink Administration Building, Room 110

• 5:30 p.m., Tue., Oct. 27

• 5:30 p.m., Wed., Nov. 18



• 7 p.m., Thu., Dec. 3, Dengerink Administration Building, Room 110

• 1 p.m., Sat., Dec. 12, Vancouver Community Library, Columbia Room, 901 C Street, Vancouver

 

April Tovar, financial aid and scholarships manager, views the workshop as an opportunity to increase the community's knowledge of financial aid processes.

 

Free parking is available in the Orange 3 lot during the listed event times.

 

WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. in Vancouver, east of the 134th Street exit from either I-5 or I-205, or via C-Tran bus service.
