Annual ROCKSOLID Teen Center auction set for March 14

On Sat., March 14, the Battle Ground Community Center will be dressed in green once again for the annual ROCKSOLID Community Teen Center’s dinner and auction, “Lucky Shamrock,” a night of FUNdraising.

This year’s fundraising event is set for Sat., March 14, 5-10 p.m., at the community center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground. The annual dinner and auction is held each year in order to raise money to keep the ROCKSOLID Community Teen Center in operation. The event is one of the main sources of income for the program. Last year’s dinner and auction brought in $50,000 to go towards ROCKSOLID and the program’s efforts in the community. Approximately 180 people attended last year’s event.

Riverview Community Bank and S&T Truck Repair are the presenting sponsors of this year’s event. Other sponsors include Dan’s Tractor, Inc., Waste Connections, Inc. and Total Merchant Concepts. A buffet dinner will be catered by Mill Creek Pub.

Guests will enjoy a silent auction, games and dinner followed by a live auction. Some of the confirmed auction items include a condo in Hawaii for one week; a beach house for the weekend in Ocean Park, WA; a Seattle getaway; a bouquet a month for six months from Main Street Floral; a Seahawks mini helmet signed by Richard Sherman and much more.



Some items that were auctioned off during last year’s fundraising event included a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; jewelry; a concert with musician Amber Sweeney; and a Great Gatsby Murder Mystery party for 20.

ROCKSOLID Community Teen Center is a nonprofit after school program for students in grades 5-12. The annual auction if one of the main sources of income that keeps this after school program in operation. Grants and donations from community members and business owners are the other source.
