The staff of the Chevron Village Mart in Battle Ground is encouraging area residents to bring the pop tops from aluminum cans to the location at 16 NW 13th Ave. in Battle Ground.
Manager Daryl Payne organized the fundraiser which will benefit the North County Community Food Bank, Southwest Washington Blood Bank and the Ronald McDonald House.
Payne will collect the pop tops for the Southwest Washington Blood Bank, which passes them on to the Ronald McDonald House. Payne also donates one cent for each pop top to the North County Community Food Bank, up to a total of $300.
