The Community Housing Resource Center, in partnership with AARP Tax Aide Volunteers, is hoping to help people better prepare their taxes.
Community Housing Resource Center is offering free tax preparation services during the tax season in Clark County.
The local nonprofit partnered with IRS-Certified AARP Tax Aide Volunteers to provide free services, which are available to anyone, regardless of income or age, within Clark and Skamania counties.
“Individuals and families who utilize this service can have IRS-certified volunteers determine if they qualify for the Earned Income and other tax credits without any cost to them,” said Cheyanne Bare, outreach coordinator for Community Housing Resource Center. “For many their tax return is the largest lump sum they will have available to them in a year and we want to make sure they do not lose out on their return by going to paid preparers.”
