TEEN DRIVER’S EDUCATION: Battle Ground Community Education and Driving 101 will be offering driver’s education classes starting in September at Prairie High School and Battle Ground High School. Prairie starts Sept. 9 and meets on Mon/Wed/Fri from 2:50-4:50 p.m., and Battle Ground starts Sept. 15 and meets on Tues/Thurs from 3-5 p.m. The course cost is $475. BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE GUITAR: This class will cover technique, chords progressions and note reading skills. This class is designed to progressively enable you to confidently play the guitar. If you follow the lesson plan in this class and practice regularly provided from the lessons from the book, you will develop a solid foundation and good habits that will give you all the skills you will need to enjoy playing the guitar. GLASS MOSAIC CLASS & WORKSHOP: New session for adults starts Sept. 14. Class meets from 6:30-9 p.m., at Lewisville Middle School, four sessions, cost is $60 plus $50 materials fee (payable to instructor on first day of class). Learn to make beautiful glass mosaic crafts for inside and outside your home. You will work on a welcome sign for the first two weeks and the last two weeks the student can work on whatever they choose. Materials are provided except for the student’s chosen item. COMMUNITY MARTIAL ARTS & Olympic Taekwondo: Looking for an after school martial arts program? Community Martial Arts is for first through 12th graders and it starts Sept. 3 at Captain Strong, class meets on Tues/Thurs from 3:45-4:45 p.m., eight classes, cost is $42. Olympic Taekwondo is for ages 5 and up and it starts Sept. 8 at Laurin Middle School. Public Announcement

TOUCH OF CLASS CHORALE is currently accepting new members. They rehearse on Sunday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at East Woods Presbyterian Church at 16210 NE 20th St., Vancouver. There are two concert seasons – fall/winter (Sept.-Dec.) and spring (Jan.-May). The chorale sings a wide variety of music and is always looking for new members.
