Master Gardener Program now recruiting

The WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener Program is now recruiting for those with a passion for plants and who wants to learn more about them and teach others.

Master Gardener training is held this fall Wednesdays, August 26 through November 18. Applications are being accepted now. Class topics include plant identification, fruit and vegetables, weeds, soil and compost, pest and disease management, and more.



Classes are 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Vancouver and include classroom presentations, field trips and hands-on activities. The cost is $245. Computer skills are required. Upon successful completion of training, participants agree to serve 50 hours of volunteer time the first year and 35 each year thereafter, to maintain active status.
