The Longest Night service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at St. John Lutheran Church, 11005 NE Highway 99, Vancouver.
Get together with others to worship during the longest night at St. John Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. The service, now in its ninth year, will feature prayers, live music and scripture readings. The service is meant to bring hope and relief to those struggling this holiday season and corresponds with the longest night of the year, Dec. 21. At the end of the service, community members may light a candle to symbolize a person’s burdens. All community members are welcome to the service, regardless of personal affiliation.
