For those looking for new activities or groups to join this spring and summer, Battle Ground resident Elaine Nibley probably has a group or two that are perfect for you.

Over the past several years, Nibley has become the founder of numerous health and/or exercise groups around the North Clark County area. Here is some information on each of the groups that Nibley started for those wishing to possibly attend.

Healthy Lifestyle Group

The Healthy Lifestyle Group meets every Friday, 10-11 a.m., at Silver Dragon restaurant, 403 W. Main St., Battle Ground. Join this group to discuss the latest trends for healthy eating and living, and share a cup of tea and chat. Members love to research new ideas and share them with the group. Health and fitness is the goal of this group. Everyone is welcome to attend this free activity.

KP Walkers

The KP Walkers meet every Tuesday and Thursday, 10-11 a.m., at Kiwanis Park, 400 SW 2nd Ave., Battle Ground. Walkers of all speeds and abilities are warmly welcomed by this fun group of regular walkers. Come out and join other walkers for fitness and friendship. There is a 1/4-mile paved path to walk around at this park. This is a free activity.

Puppy Playgroup

The Puppy Playgroup meets every Saturday, 10-11 a.m., at Maple Grove K-8 School, 610 SW Eaton Blvd., Battle Ground. This group is for friendly toy dogs of 20 pounds or less and their parents. Join this group to enjoy some fun social time for people and pets. Great exercise for your little friends. Bring a leash and some water. This is a free activity.
