Discounted microchipping available at Peace & Justice Fair

Posted

Furry Friends will offer discounted Avid FriendChip ID microchipping for dogs and cats at the upcoming Peace & Justice Fair Sat., Sept. 12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Esther Short Park, 415 W. 6th St., Vancouver. The Furry Friends booth will be at the north side of the park.

Chips will be implanted for a donation of only $20 per pet by volunteer veterinarian technicians inside an enclosed tent. Volunteers will complete and submit the registration paperwork.

Unlike other brands, there are no annual fees for these microchips. This unique permanent identification gives your lost pet a much better chance of coming home. Cats ready for adoption will also be shown from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (depending on the weather). This will give the public an opportunity to learn more about the care of cats and the mission of Furry Friends.

Furry Friends is a nonprofit cat adoption organization. Its mission is to help homeless, relinquished and abused cats by providing spaying and neutering, medical care and foster shelter for as long as it takes to find their forever home.
