Humane Society welcomes dog days of summer

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW) is welcoming in the dog days of summer with its Summer Lovin’ adoption special. Select dogs are available to adopt from the shelter for 20-50 percent off through Sun., June 8.

During summer months, HSSW sees an increase in the number of dogs that are taken in or owner surrendered. The Summer Lovin’ campaign provides an opportunity to connect prospective owners with pets at even further reduced pet adoption fees.

All pet adoptions include: spay or neuter surgery, microchip ID system and national registration, vaccinations, free veterinary exam with a local participating veterinarian, animal training information and low-cost pet insurance options.

Animals are available for adoption during shelter hours, noon-6 p.m. on Tue.-Sun, located at 1100 NE 192nd Avenue, just north of Mill Plain in Vancouver.

More information about Summer Lovin’ and all dogs currently available for adoption may be found online at www.southwesthumane.org, or by calling (360) 693-4746.
