Woodland Police Department seeks help from community following shooting

The Woodland Police Department was advised of an altercation, which led to a shooting in the 1200 block of Pacific Avenue at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 20.

A news release from the department stated the victim fled in his vehicle from that location with the suspect vehicle in pursuit. A passenger from the suspect’s vehicle fired gunshots at the victim’s vehicle, striking it multiple times.

The victim drove to the Woodland Police Department and the suspect vehicle fled the area. The victim driver sustained a minor wound to the leg, but he is expected to make a full recovery, stated the release.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored, possibly maroon, SUV with a bike rack loaded with at least one bicycle on the back. It was occupied by two white men, who were approximately 40 years in age.

The suspects and the vehicle had not been located as of The Reflector’s deadline.
