The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Bryon Jacobus of Water & Air Works is the 2014 Ambassador of the Year.

This honor was determined by the Ambassador team, who each voted for whom they felt was the most outstanding in terms of dedication of time, community spirit and commitment to the business community.

“Getting the vote from so many people whom I respect and have been working alongside all these years makes this one of my proudest accomplishments. I’m humbled and appreciative,” Jacobus said.

In 2015, the Chamber’s “Ambassador of the Year” will play a large role in our promotional effort.

“It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication under the Chamber’s effective leadership,’’ Jacobus said. “We’ve had some of this counties most notable leaders pass through these offices over my tenure. We stay in front of the issues facing commerce in our community and represent that audience, our first and foremost effort.”

The “Red Coat” Ambassador team is a vital part of the GVCC. They not only provide the fanfare and prestige at over 70 events per year, but they work to promote the business community at-large, year-round. At any ribbon cutting, evening networking or signature event you can find members of the Ambassador team front-and-center.

Founded in 1890, the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) is a nonprofit organization aimed at advancing and strengthening the regional business community through member services, public affairs advocacy and community building.
