Trick-or-treaters hit Main Street

Shops along Battle Ground’s Main Street were in full giveaway mode on Friday as the city’s annual Trick or Treat Trail commenced and residents patrolled the sidewalks donned in costumes of all kinds.

Following last year’s Halloween holiday, which fell in the midst of a pre-vaccine pandemic,  Battle Ground returned to Main Street in droves to celebrate the holiday and collect candy from businesses. Coordinated by the Battle Ground Festivals Association and the city of Battle Ground, the town’s main strip largely served as a trick-or-treating destination on Oct. 29. At the Battle Ground Community Center, the city’s parks and recreation department put on games and more fun for the city’s revelers.
