Clark County Fire District 3 crews responded to a call shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 involving a vehicle that crashed through a restaurant in downtown Battle Ground.

Firefighters, with aid from the Battle Ground Police Department and AMR, worked to provide medical aid to the sole occupant of the vehicle and two patrons of the Margarita Factory who were injured in the collision, stated a news release.

Extrication tools were used to free the victim as the building was shored up to prevent it from collapsing, stated the release.

All three people who were injured in the accident were transported to the hospital by ambulance so they could receive further care.

Fire District 3 stated the cause of the accident is not known at this time, but there are no initial indications that drugs or alcohol were a factor.

The restaurant sustained damage to a main support post and is currently being evaluated by the city building official.
