This year added on to Ridgefield’s 100-plus years of celebrating the nation’s independence. The festivities and parade in downtown Ridgefield brought in thousands of people from the community and beyond.

Those in attendance for the celebration were treated to Zumba, a parade, vendors and more, including kids activities and entertainment on stage.

“I think the Fourth of July went very well this year. It kind of brought us back to where we were pre-COVID with the community coming together and even people from out of town coming to see what it’s like in our small community of Ridgefield,” Festival Director Sandy Schill said. “We had a lot of support from our local businesses.”

Schill added that she heard a kid say, “this is the best day I’ve ever had,” while they were playing on the inflatable water slides.
