Ridgefield Lions Christmas tree lot set to open for fourth year

The Ridgefield Lions Club will be selling  fresh-cut Christmas trees and accessories beginning Friday, Nov. 24, from the parking lot at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex (RORC), located at 3101 S. Hillhurst Rd. in Ridgefield.

2023 will mark the fourth year the Ridgefield Lions have operated the Christmas tree lot. The lot will offer Douglas fir, grand fir and noble fir trees, as well as plain and decorated wreaths, garlands and swag. There will also be homemade holiday decorations from local craft-makers available. The lot will operate daily until all the trees are sold. Hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

“We want this to be a fun experience by providing a safe place to find your perfect tree while helping this community, and there’s no mud,” said Josh Olson, president of the Ridgefield Lions and chair of the Christmas tree lot, in a press release.

The tree lot is staffed by eight to 10 volunteers each day through the duration of the sale. All proceeds from the tree sales go directly to the Ridgefield Lions Club and are used to help fund a wide variety of projects that serve the community of Ridgefield, a release stated.

Olson also shared that tree shoppers can enjoy hot coffee and hot cocoa while searching for the perfect tree.

Home delivery of trees and other items sold at the lot is offered within the city of Ridgefield, depending on availability of a vehicle.
