With spring around the corner, PacifiCorp has begun opening park and campground reservations with some policy changes.

Camping reservations for PacifiCorp’s Beaver Bay Park and Campground are now available for both group camping and individual campsites. Beaver Bay Park and Campground will open for visitors from April 26 to Sept. 2. Reservations are available at pacificorp.com/community/recreation/washington.html

Reservations for park picnic pavilions at Merwin Park, Saddle Dam Park and Swift Forest Camp will open March 1. Reservations are $50 a day and can be made at pacificorp.com/community/recreation/washington.html.

New event policies have been established for PacifiCorp’s Lewis River recreation sites. These policies have been developed to ensure that the sites remain available for general recreation use during the peak season as intended, while still providing the opportunity for the public to host organized recreation activities and events, a news release by PacifiCorp stated.

Many activities are no longer allowed unless permitted by PacifiCorp, according to the release. The new policies are available at pacificorp.com/community/recreation/washington.html.

The policies also provide information about the requirements and special use permit process for events outside of the peak recreation season. To seek special use permits, complete an application at www.pacificorp.com/community/recreation/washington.html.
