Local agency offers classes for seniors and caregivers

The Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington (AAADSW) will offer a wide range of Caregiving Support Groups, Community Education Classes and other programs to benefit older adults (age 60 plus), adults with disabilities and family caregivers in April.

Family Caregiver Support Group will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, and April 17 on Zoom. The group will be guided by a facilitator and will offer family caregivers a safe place to connect with other caregivers.

Kinship Caregiving Support Group will meet from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, on Zoom. Kinship caregivers are relatives caring for one or more relative children. The meeting will provide a safe place to connect with others in similar situations.



To attend either of the support groups, register by calling or emailing the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 360-694-8144 or ClarkADRC@dshs.wa.gov.

Enhance Fitness Classes for those over 60 are offered from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays at Bethel Lutheran Church, 12919 NE 159 St., Brush Prairie. The free, public events have instructors present to tailor exercises to meet individual needs.
