It has never been more important that our local school board members be of the highest character and have the experience and skills required to navigate complex budgetary, personnel and policy issues. That is why I am urging Ridgefield voters to elect Rob Peterson to our school board.
I first met Rob earlier this year when I coached his son’s Little League team. Rob made a great first impression when he volunteered to help out at the team’s evening practices, teaching our boys the importance of sportsmanship as well as baseball skills. Rob’s care for the education and development of our community’s children was evident to me from the very beginning, and my esteem for Rob has only grown as I’ve had the opportunity to hear firsthand of his love for Ridgefield and his vision for our school district.
I share Rob’s belief that Ridgefield can become the premier school district in the state of Washington — a district renowned for the educational opportunities provided to our children and for their academic success. Rob’s enthusiasm and level-headed optimism for the future of Ridgefield’s schools is contagious, and I’m convinced that our community needs only to choose the right school board leaders to build a stellar educational environment for our kids.
Rob Peterson is the right candidate at the right time to make this vision a reality.
Beyond Rob’s unmistakable passion for the academic success of our community’s children, his impeccable qualifications are ideal for a school board director. Rob has not only earned a masters degree in business administration, he has gained over a decade of experience in senior/director-level roles within national and multinational corporations, successfully managing large budgets and grappling with challenging personnel and policy matters. Rob has also served on regional and national boards representing thousands of members, reflecting his great skill at sincerely engaging diverse stakeholders and thereby achieving consensus on important issues.
