Letter to the Editor: Ridgefield primed to pass school bonds

Posted

Editor,

As someone who has watched five school bonds fail and worked to increase voter turnout for some of them, I am feeling optimistic about the April 23 ballot propositions for Ridgefield schools. I am seeing the community bond together to solve the problem of school overcrowding, and it is inspiring! As a mother of children in the Ridgefield schools and a pediatrician, I am concerned about the effects of crowding on students’ learning and wellbeing. Studies show that

overcrowded educational spaces relate to poorer outcomes. We cannot delay any longer. Please join me in voting yes for Ridgefield schools.
