Letter to the Editor: Reflector sensibilities exposed by animal-style cheeseburgers

Posted

Editor,

All you have to know about The Reflector can be summed up by reading Cade Barker’s first sentence announcing In-N-Out Burgers coming to Ridgefield. He says, “Animal-style cheeseburgers and the Southern California cultural phenomenon…” You can just hear the snarling contempt he has for the rest of the great unwashed here in Clark County. No doubt he does this to establish his liberal bona fides and to announce the latest loony bugaboo: beef cattle.

Well, Mr. Barker, as you eat your dinner of grasshoppers and take a hearty swig of Bud Light, rest assured that many of us deplorables bitterly clinging to our guns and Bible will be chomping down on animal-style steaks tonight (extra rare) contemplating how much money to give to Donald Trump. Heck, I’m even thinking of going into the cattle-raising business just for the fun of it.  Look for me on opening day as I will be the first guy in line sitting in my Chevy pickup truck doing my part to add to global warming, I will know you instantly, as no doubt you will be in your Toyota Prius Hybrid with the bumper sticker that says “Free Tibet.”

— Editor’s Note: “Animal style” is an In-N-Out burger option, but The Reflector hears that grasshoppers are nutritious, too.
