Patsy Leah Cole, 85, of Vancouver, passed into heaven on Dec. 21, 2023, due to complications of a fall. She is now in the arms of Jesus and with her loved ones who have gone before her.
Patsy was known for her big heart of love and even bigger hugs. She loved making people laugh, and her smile was contagious. She enjoyed playing bingo and won. She and her husband would fish off the jetty in Long Beach. She would catch the first fish, the biggest fish and the most fish. They would travel to Arizona in the winters but she would want to come home because she missed her children and grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her. She had nicknames for her grandchildren. Patsy was a devoted and wonderful wife and an excellent cook and housekeeper. She was the best mom ever and an awesome grandma and great-grandma.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald; son, Toby, and his wife, Kathy; seven grandchildren, Jason (Angel Boy) and his wife Mandy, Alex (Monkey Boy), Joshua (Tank), Brandon (Bubba), Katie (Katybug), Bryon (BryDee) and Jaci (Jake); and her sister, Geraldine McKee.
She had nine great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jocelyn, Gavin, Elijah, Noah, Shiloh, Aiden, Olen and Marshall.
She is preceded in death by sons, James Scott and William Curtis; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ruth; her parents; and brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice House Vancouver.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene, 747 Pioneer, Ridgefield. A potluck reception to follow.
