In loving memory of  Lorraine Ritola: 1944-2021

Lorraine Elizabeth Ritola went to her heavenly home on July 31, 2021, after a long battle with dementia. She was 77 years of age and died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. 

Lorraine was born in Slope County, North Dakota, on May 13, 1944, to Leslie and Ellen Lindberg. She moved with her family to Clark County at a young age. 

She graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1962 and married David Ritola in July of the same year. 

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Ellen; brothers Jerry, Jim and Dale; and baby sister Karen. 

She is survived by her husband of 59 years David Ritola, 10 children, 58 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; her sons Tom (Kris) Ritola, Chuck (Annie) Ritola, Willy (Lorna) Ritola, Jon (Erica) Ritola, and Mark Ritola; and daughters Tonya (Michael) Jackola, Bethany (Scott) Stefan, Jayne (Derek) Hendershaw, Julie (Richard) Niemi and Karalee (Kent) Johnson. 

She is also survived by brothers Ron (Sally) Lindberg, David (Robin) Lindberg, and Rick (Karen) Lindberg; and sisters Susie (Lee) Hamilton, Mary (Jack) Erickson, Sandy (Ryan) Homola, Kathy (Keith) Jolma; and sisters-in-law Cyndi (John) Wagoner and Sharon Lindberg. 

Lorraine was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and held fia firm belief in this doctrine and set that example for her children. Her joys in life were her family and many Christian friends. She also enjoyed her yard and garden and beach trips with her husband. 

Funeral services were held on Friday, Aug. 6 at 1 p.m. at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Brush Prairie, 16603 NE 142nd Ave.,Brush Prairie, Washington, 98606. Viewing was on Thursday, Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m.
