Charlotte Burke passed on Feb. 1, 2024, at the age of 96. She faced every day with a smile, a spunky spirit and a determination for life. Charlotte was born in Bend, Oregon, on Sept. 24,1927, to Edward and Florence Schleicher, spending her childhood in Ridgefield and graduating from Ridgefield High School. Charlotte devoted much of her time as a homemaker and a beloved wife to her husband and mother to her children. She loved her wiener dog and cat. Charlotte enjoyed cooking and spent time with her grandchildren. Charlotte is survived by her children, Jerry Burke, Vicki Barnhart and Debbie Tischendorf. She had eight grandkids and 13 great-grandkids.
Graveside service will be at Northwood Cemetery and Funeral Home, 16407 NE 15th Ave., Ridgefield, Washington, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. Private viewing is Thursday at 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
