Boyd Leon Rhoades was born in Butler, Oklahoma on Dec. 1, 1929, and entered into rest on Feb. 26, 2023 at the age of 93 surrounded by his family.
Boyd was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings. He and his wife Bonnie moved to Woodland, Washington, in 1995 where they attended the Woodland Adventist Church and served as deacon and elder and participated in other church activities.
Boyd, aka Boyd L. Rhoades The Barber, had a barbering business in Battle Ground for over 20 years where enjoyed the friendship of his customers. He enjoyed the ocean, traveling and fishing, which was his passion. He loved the Lord, his family and his little dog.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie M. Rhoades, son Robert Rhoades, daughter Janet Cordero, stepdaughter Lisa White, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral and celebration will be held at 4 p.m. on April 29, 2023, at the Woodland Adventist Church in Woodland, Washington. All are welcome.
