The Board of Directors of the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has appointed Ann Wheelock as interim Executive Director. In this role, Wheelock will serve as the senior leader of the Free Clinic and represent the organization in the broader community. She began her duties September 17.
“It’s an honor to help out the Free Clinic,” said Ann. “It’s a fantastic group of volunteers and staff. The Free Clinic is a real gem of Clark County.”
Wheelock has held previous positions as CEO of the Columbia United Providers, a local Medicaid Health Plan and CFO of The Vancouver Clinic.
She has been involved with the organization for many years serving on the Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and as Board Treasurer.
Wheelock replaces Barbe West, who served as Executive Director since 2009. She is leaving the Free Clinic to serve as Executive Director for Southwest Washington Accountable Community of Health (SWACH) in Vancouver.
