No, not April Fools, a truck plowed into the Battle Ground O’Reilly Auto Parts store, 213 W. Main St., Monday, April 1.
A Facebook post by the City of Battle Ground stated the driver lost control of his vehicle before colliding into the building. Medical personnel with Clark County Fire District 3 evaluated the driver, who sustained minor injuries. No other injuries were reported from the incident, the post stated.
Due to damage to the north support of the building, the store is closed for the foreseeable future. The city stated a building official issued a closure notice until a structural engineer is able to assess the full extent of the structural damage.
