Students from Chief Umtuch Middle School, who are part of the youth leadership group known as the D.R.E.A.M. Team, will host a drive-in movie night aimed at promoting drug-free lifestyles among their peers.

The drive-in theater will be set up in the parking lot, with gates opening at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 26, at Lewisville Intermediate Campus & CAM Academy, 406 NW Fifth Ave., Battle Ground. A screening of Disney Pixar’s film “Soul” will begin at dusk.

Pre-show entertainment will feature a drug-prevention theme aimed at youth audiences. Raffle tickets will also be available for adults, with all proceeds supporting the D.R.E.A.M. Team and its future projects, the press release stated.

“At Chief Umtuch, we believe in empowering our students to make positive choices and in creating a culture where students support each other’s well-being,” Jason Staley, school D.R.E.A.M. team advisor said in a release. “The D.R.E.A.M. Team embodies this spirit through their dedication to supporting their peers and fostering a community of wellness.”

Pre-registration for the event is required, with free tickets available at tinyurl.com/SoulDriveIn. The D.R.E.A.M. Team is part of Prevent Together: Battle Ground Prevention Alliance, a community coalition working to prevent and reduce youth substance use in the community.
