CCFD3, BGPD, honor Vancouver officer Troy Rawlins

A funeral procession for Vancouver Police Officer Troy Rawlins went through Battle Ground beginning at Layne’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3.

Rawlins, 55, experienced a medical emergency at his home on March 22.



Firefighter personnel with Clark County Fire District 3 flew the United States flag over West Main Street in Battle Ground for the procession. Staff with the Battle Ground Police Department and CCFD3 stood together on the sidewalk as the funeral procession went by to honor him.

He served with the Vancouver Police Department since 2001. During his career, Rawlins held multiple assignments and duties including SWAT, firearms instructor, a member of the Honor Guard and in patrol. Rawlins also maintained his status with the U.S. Army during his time, a Facebook post by the Vancouver Police Department stated.
