Battle Ground Senior Citizens (BGSC) will begin hosting a monthly coffee social to give local seniors another opportunity to socialize, meet new people and spend time with friends while enjoying coffee and a treat each month for no cost.
The coffee social will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the Battle Ground Senior Center, 116 NE Third Ave., Battle Ground.
The May meeting will be an exception due to Memorial Day. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on May 20 instead.
“We are always looking to provide new opportunities for our local seniors to stay active and social,” BGSC President Sharon Wodtke said. “We can only do so when we have help from sponsors and volunteers to make it happen. We are very grateful to Battle Ground Dutch Bros., Battle Ground Walmart and Comfort Keepers for covering all the expenses to make this happen and thanks to our volunteers.”
Coffee and treats will be provided by sponsors Battle Ground Dutch Bros., Battle Ground Walmart and Comfort Keepers.
